Hearth capabilities

Add what your firm needs. Not another system you have to become.

Hearth gives accounting firms access to specialized advisory, delivery, and practice infrastructure. Choose the capability your firm needs today, combine several where they fit, and expand without building every function internally.

Choose what fits your firm. Each Hearth capability can be adopted on its own, without requiring adoption of unrelated capabilities.
Add capabilities à la carte.Use one capability or several, depending on where your firm wants more capacity, infrastructure, or advisory depth.
Legacy goes deeper by design.Advanced strategy requires more diligence and qualification than lower-friction services.
The capability set

Choose the capabilities your firm wants to add

Hearth capabilities are available à la carte. Each addresses a different constraint inside an accounting firm — specialized documentation, delivery capacity, practice infrastructure, or advanced client strategy — and each can be evaluated on its own.

Advisory documentation

HearthRC Defense

A structured reasonable-compensation capability for S-Corporation clients, built around documented analysis and a repeatable process your firm can review and deliver.

Primary constraintReasonable-compensation documentation is time-intensive, inconsistent, or difficult to standardize.
What it addsA repeatable reasonable-compensation analysis and documentation capability.
Typical firm question"Can we deliver this confidently without rebuilding the work every time?"

Delivery capacity

Managed Bookkeeping

Recurring bookkeeping capacity for firms that want to serve more clients without making every increment of growth depend on another internal hire.

Primary constraintBookkeeping demand is outpacing internal delivery capacity.
What it addsRecurring production capacity behind the firm relationship.
Typical firm question"Can we serve more bookkeeping clients without building another internal team?"
How firms startPaid onboarding, then a pilot with the first month's $500 recurring fee waived; $500/month afterward.

Practice infrastructure

Practice Management

CRM, client activation, campaigns, and workflow infrastructure intended to help firms surface and move opportunities already inside the client base.

Primary constraintClient opportunities exist, but follow-up, activation, and workflow are fragmented or manual.
What it addsCRM, client activation, campaigns, and practice workflow infrastructure.
Typical firm question"How do we consistently act on the opportunities already inside our client base?"
How firms startScoped implementation with a Hearth warranty; final warranty terms are presented before commitment.

Advanced capability

Legacy

A higher-diligence strategy for qualifying clients whose circumstances and domain expertise support a more involved planning and implementation process.

Primary constraintA qualifying client needs a more advanced strategy than the firm's ordinary compliance relationship provides.
What it addsA deeper qualification, diligence, and strategy path for a narrower client profile.
Typical firm question"What can we bring to a client whose planning needs have moved beyond routine compliance?"

Need more than one capability?

Explore a broader Hearth partnership.

If several parts of the practice need support, Hearth can help identify where to start and how multiple capabilities can fit together without forcing a preset package.

Prospect-facing utility

S-Corp Calculator

The calculator gives firms a useful client-facing entry point into the S-Corp and reasonable-compensation conversation. It can support prospect education, co-branded outreach, and the path into HearthRC without being positioned as a fifth core capability. S-Calc is included at no cost when a firm starts an eligible Hearth pilot or a Legacy engagement.

A utility that opens the conversation.

A supporting utility for engagement and education — not a fifth paid capability. Eligible pilot and Legacy relationships include access at no additional cost.

How they fit together

One firm can use one capability — or several

The common thread is the firm relationship at the center. There is no required sequence and no assumption that every firm needs every capability.

One firm may only need bookkeeping. Another may use HearthRC and Practice Management. A third may evaluate Hearth as a broader operating and advisory partner. Legacy can sit alongside any of those relationships when a qualifying client creates the reason for it.

Legacy belongs in the capability set, but not in the same sales motion

Legacy is intentionally visible here because it can be one of Hearth's most consequential capabilities for the right firm and client. It also deserves more explanation before anyone is asked to adopt it.

The dedicated Legacy page therefore behaves less like a conventional service page and more like a diligence funnel: understand the mechanism, recognize fit and non-fit, review how delivery is governed, inspect the evidence, and only then move into qualification.

What firms need to know

  • Legacy is not required to become a Hearth partner.
  • It is not positioned as a free signup or impulse offer.
  • It is intended for a narrower client profile than the rest of the capability set.
  • The firm gets the context and diligence it needs before a client moves into qualification.
Ways to engage

Start narrow or evaluate the broader relationship

The commercial motion matches what the firm is actually trying to accomplish. There is no universal "trial" across capabilities.

01

One capability

The firm already knows the problem: reasonable compensation, bookkeeping capacity, practice infrastructure, or a Legacy opportunity.

Start with that need →
02

Not sure yet

The firm recognizes a broader capacity or advisory problem but does not yet know which Hearth capability fits it.

Broader Hearth partnership

Several parts of the practice need attention, or the firm wants to understand Hearth as an operating and advisory partner rather than evaluating a single product in isolation.

The goal is not to force a preset package. It is to identify where Hearth creates the most immediate value, then phase additional capabilities only if the relationship proves useful.
