Know what the browser is storing—and what you can control
This draft separates browser storage needed for core site operation from optional analytics or attribution technologies. The production tag/CMP audit must confirm the actual categories, vendors, storage, durations, consent behavior, and available choices before publication.
Site and preference storage.
Browser storage may be used for security, basic site operation, form state, or remembering a consent choice. Necessary functions are not a substitute for consent to unrelated optional advertising or analytics.
Understand how pages are used.
If analytics is enabled, it may measure page views, navigation, device/browser information, and similar usage signals. Optional analytics must follow the consent and privacy configuration applicable to the visitor.
Connect an inquiry to the path that produced it.
If attribution technology is enabled, it may connect a form submission or inquiry with source, campaign, or page information so Hearth can understand how the inquiry arrived.
Change optional tracking preferences without losing the rest of the site
Where optional tracking requires consent, declining it does not block access to public pages or an available direct contact channel.
