For accounting firms

Add Hearth where your firm needs more capability

Work with Hearth for one capability, several, or a broader relationship. Your firm keeps the client relationship while Hearth adds specialized delivery, infrastructure and strategy where it fits.

Your client stays your client. The relationship model is built around supporting the referring firm rather than replacing it.

When a Hearth partnership makes sense

You know where the firm is going. Building everything to get there is the constraint.

Hearth is most useful when a firm sees a real client or operating need but does not want every new capability to become another internal team, system, or specialty practice.

A specific service gap

The firm already knows the need—reasonable compensation, bookkeeping capacity, practice infrastructure or Legacy—and wants a specialized path without building it internally.

Capacity without another hire

Demand exists, but internal recruiting, training and management would add fixed cost before the firm knows how much capacity it truly needs.

More value inside the client base

The firm has relationships and opportunities already present, but lacks the infrastructure or specialized capability to consistently act on them.

The relationship model

Hearth adds capability behind the firm. It does not ask the firm to hand over the relationship

For a partnership model to work, responsibility and client ownership are clear before the first referral. The firm knows what remains under its control and what Hearth is being asked to supply.

Client relationship

Remains centered on the referring firm, with client-of-record / no-poach protections documented in the applicable partner materials.

Advisor role

The firm stays visible in the client conversation and chooses when Hearth enters.

Hearth role

Supplies the specialized delivery, systems and program infrastructure for the capability being adopted.

Professional work

Tax/accounting responsibility remains explicit and is handled by the appropriate qualified professionals where the engagement requires it.

Ways to work with Hearth

Choose the scope that matches the need

There is no required product sequence. A firm can evaluate one capability, several capabilities, or Legacy directly when the need is already clear.

Partner consultation between advisors
01

One capability

Start directly with the capability your firm needs. HearthRC can begin with a report. Bookkeeping starts with paid onboarding; for an eligible pilot, the first month's $500 recurring service fee is waived. Practice Management begins with scoped implementation, with the written Hearth warranty terms presented before commitment.

02

Several capabilities

More than one area matters. Hearth and the firm identify the highest-value starting point, then phase additional capabilities as useful. Each capability keeps its own activation model: report transaction, paid onboarding and eligible pilot, scoped implementation with warranty terms, or qualification.

03

Legacy candidate

If your firm already has a client who may fit Legacy, you can start there directly. Legacy is Hearth's advanced tax strategy and does not require prior use of any other Hearth capability.

The first step is candidate qualification. Hearth helps confirm fit and diligence before moving into the deeper structure, economics or implementation.

How the partnership begins

From first conversation to a defined engagement

Once the firm knows what it wants to evaluate, the next steps are simple and explicit.

01

Tell Hearth what the firm needs.

Bring the use case, client need or practice constraint you want to evaluate.

02

Review the appropriate path.

Hearth maps the use case to the relevant capability, or to a broader partnership discussion when several areas matter.

03

Review scope and diligence.

The firm sees responsibilities, applicable terms, diligence materials and the defined scope before commitment.

04

Begin the engagement.

The agreed capability or scope moves forward, with additional Hearth services considered only if the firm wants them.

Diligence before commitment

Review the relationship before bringing Hearth into a client engagement

Diligence precedes commitment. Firms can review responsibilities, client protections, data handling, methodology, and evidence before deciding to move forward.

Governance

Who does what, where professional responsibility sits, and how delivery changes by capability.

Review governance →
Client protection

Client-of-record, no-poach and relationship terms that clarify Hearth's position behind the firm.

Review client protections →
Security & data

What information a capability needs, how it is handled, and what the firm needs to know before referral.

Review security & data →
Methods & evidence

Samples, methodology, documented outcomes and the boundaries around what those materials prove.
